Bill and his lady Judy have been married for 35 years. They have one son and one daughter, and five grandchildren.
Bill was born on September 21, 1955 in Fort Monmouth, NJ. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1975 and served for nearly seven years. He then joined the Civil Service and spent 17 years as a field service representative supporting numerous Naval and Marine Corps aircraft avionics systems. He served two tours on Commander, Naval Air Forces staff. His final posting was the engineering lead for USMC Mobile Maintenance Facilities. He closed out (retired) 35 years of service to the Navy/Marine Corps on January 1, 2011.
Bill earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from National University in San Diego, CA in 1990.
He was raised to the sublime degree of Master Mason in 2000 in La Mesa Lodge No. 407, La Mesa, CA. He later affiliated with Consuelo Lodge No. 325 in Escondido, CA and served as Worshipful Master in 2004 and again as Junior Warden in 2009. He was presented with the Hiram Award in October 2010.
He is a past presiding officer of Tyre Chapter No. 130, Helix Council No. 58, Imperial Valley Commandery No. 54, Allied Masonic Degrees Council No. 237, San Diego/Imperial Past Masters Association, North County San Diego County Scottish Rite Association, and is currently serving as Worthy Patron of Escondido Chapter No.154 OES.
Bill served as Wise Master Chapter of Rose Croix in the Valley of San Diego in 2004 and is currently serving as Venerable Master of the Lodge of Perfection in the Valley of San Diego Scottish Rite.
He is also a member of Al Bahr Shrine in San Diego, Southern California Past Masters Association, Killarney Council Knight Masons, San Diego York Rite College, San Diego Priory, and San Diego Conclave Red Cross of Constantine.
Bill received the rank and honor of Knight Commander Court of Honor in the San Diego Scottish Rite in 2005.
He was elected to the Knights of the York Cross of Honour in 2008.
